The John Paul Jones House is located at 43 Middle Street in Portsmouth, at the corner of Middle and State Streets. (Parking is easier on State Street.) The House is a pleasant walk from Market Square, the heart of historic Portsmouth.

The Portsmouth Passport
When you purchase a full admission ticket, ask for a “passport” entitling you to $1.00 off the admission price at all other Portsmouth Historic House Associate member sites. Please allow forty-five minutes to one hour for tours at each house.
Group Tours
The Portsmouth Historical Society, Warner House Association and the Wentworth Gardner and Tobias Lear Houses are very pleased to offer special group tours for all three houses. Groups of ten or more can visit all three of the Houses for $5 per person. Tours must be arranged in advance by calling the Museum and Collections Manager at (603) 436-8420 or by emailing us at: jointmanager@portsmouthhistory.org.
Contact the house manager to arrange a single house visit or a day long tour of all three, including a box lunch or restaurant reservation. Tours can be accommodated during the open season from mid-May through mid-October.

Functions and Special Events
The beautiful grounds of the John Paul Jones House, and its charming carriage house, are available for function rental.
We would be happy to discuss the possibilities with you. For preservation reasons, we cannot host functions inside the museum itself.
