The Portsmouth Historical Society welcomes new members. The benefits of membership in the Society include free admission to the John Paul Jones House and most Society programs, the right to vote in the annual meeting of the Society, and our lively and informative emails.

Volunteering
The Portsmouth Historical Society offers many opportunities for members of the community to get involved in preserving our past and telling Portsmouth’s stories.
We could use your help at our public programs and special events greeting visitors, assisting tour guides at the John Paul Jones House and its beautiful gardens, lending a hand at the Discover Portsmouth Center and in many other ways.

Donations
