    2010 Exhibits Presented by the Portsmouth Historical Society

    "Brooches, Caps & Collars: Adornment in Portsmouth Portraits 1800-1860"
     
    "90 Years of Telling Portsmouth Stories"
     
    "An Uncommon Commitment to Peace: Portsmouth Peace Treaty 1905"

    Discover Portsmouth Center
     
    "Summering in Rye" on loan from Rye Historical Society 
     
    "The Past 5 Years of Telling Portsmouth Stories: Portsmouth Historical Society Exhibits Celebrating Our 90th Anniversary"
     
    Opening in July:
    "Rescuing Whaleback Lighthouse -- A Wave-Swept Sentinel"   
     
    "The Portsmouth Commercial Fishing Industry" -- on its 100th anniversary, Historic New England staff will capture the stories of the hard-working people who make up this fast-disappearing community through interviews and photographs of the fisherman at work and in their homes. Highlights of the project will be displayed at the Discover Portsmouth Center.
