"Bill Paarlberg: Illustrating Portsmouth" (August 6 - September 10, 2010) is a 30-year retrospective depicting Portsmouth's past, present and imaginary future by artist, illustrator, graphic designer and blogger, Bill Paarlberg. Nearly 100 images capture a sometimes fleeting, often idiosyncratic view of New Hampshire's city by the sea. Classical architecture, maritime enterprise and iconic monsters, both real and imagined. Paarlberg's sensibilities are those of someone who walks these streets and notices details that might otherwise be missed. Included are illustrations from his re:Ports. Magazine and popular annual "Portsmouth History Calendar."
